DIY Sailor's Knot

I just stumbled across this DIY via Design*Sponge and about fell out of my chair. How wonderfully perfect is this? I have been debating ordering this knot doorstop, but now I might just make my own instead!

Paper Garland

So this year I got a little crafty with our Christmas decorations. I made this garland out of gold and silver paper, a rubber stamp, a 1.5" hole punch, fishing line and a hot glue gun. Here are my little how-to pictures for some lovely and super easy DIY garland! Merry Christmas!

Quilting with Maw Maw

So lately I have been in a crafting craze. I spent a few days with my grandmother this past weekend finishing a quilt we started when I was a teenager.. and after years of off and on sewing it's finally DONE! Not only did we produce a beautiful quilt, but we also had a blast doing it. There's not much better than spending time with Maw Maw and learning how to sew from the master seamstress.

Gifted Magazine

I am still slightly drooling over Gifted Magazine by Creature Comforts. It's chock full of beautiful inspiration, creative gift suggestions and DIY ideas. Honestly, it's just stunning. It is without a doubt my new favorite magazine. See it for yourself!

Feeling crafty.. and I like it.

Stopped by my favorite and my Sailor's least favorite store yesterday, good 'ol Hobby Lobby! Picked up a $3 twig wreath, some faux leaves and this Happy Thanksgiving sign for half off. I love how everything is always on sale there. A hot glue gun, some wire and a couple of Glee episodes later, this was my creation.. It makes me love our front door so!
